 OUR VISION
To enhance teaching, learning, research and services in Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ibadan to an enviable and recognizable level nationally and internationally.

OUR MISSION
To work together with other team members to produce Pharmacists and Pharmaceutical scientists who are competent to provide medicine-oriented and patient-oriented Pharmaceutical care with the goal of enhancing health care.

CORE OBJECTIVES OF THIS ADMINISTRATION

  • To pursue infrastructural growth of the Faculty
  • Exhaustive review of curriculum for the upcoming Pharm. D
  • Improvement or overhauling of teaching and learning methods among staff and students
  • Building the bridge between town and gown through provisions of services in the area of drug development and drug use to the university community, hospital, industry and beyond, including a made in Faculty of Pharmacy, ‘’University of Ibadan medicine’ one day.

Our vision as a Faculty is to provide an all rounded and high quality education that will ensure we produce highly competent graduates with correct professional attitude and skills that are able to take their place and contribute their quota in a dynamic global knowledge-driven economy and health care delivery system.

Our mission is to train well rounded pharmacists with requisite cutting-edge professional knowledge, skill, values and attitude that will ensure effective and efficient service delivery in the following pharmaceutical services-related sectors:

  • Academia and research institutes.
  • Pharmaceutical Industries.
  • Hospital and Community Pharmacy practice.
  • Regulatory and Policy-making organizations.
  • Public Health programmes.

Our guiding philosophy has ensured that over 30 years of existence as a Faculty, we have produced highly rated graduates who are contributing immensely to pharmacy profession all over the world as captains of industry, leaders in community pharmacy practice, hospital practice, academia and other sectors of the economy.

We are committed to developing the academic professional and leadership potentials of our students and staff by promoting excellence in teaching, learning and applied research at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as responding positively to the educational, technical and manpower needs of Nigeria.

As at today there are 6 departments (Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Administration, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics & Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Pharmacognosy and Pharmacology & Therapeutics) with 58 lecturers in the faculty made up of one emeritus professor, other professors, readers and lecturers.
