Professor Oludele Adelanwa Itiola
Oludele Adelanwa Itiola, a Professor of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Nigeria, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from University of London, UK.
Professor O.A. Itiola was the dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ibadan from 2001 to 2005. It was during his tenure as Dean that the Faculty of Pharmacy became autonomous. He researches mainly in the areas of tabletting technology, drug formulation and phytomedicines.
Professor O.A. Itiola, the pioneer Chairman of National association of Pharmacists in Academia, University of Ibadan branch, was appointed the pioneer Director, directorate of Quality Assurance, University of Ibadan, Ibadan in April, 2011; positions he led until 2013 when he received another call for service based on the passion for excellence. He is currently the Rector, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Professor O.A. Itiola has trained many Ph.D graduates, with one now a Professor. He is also a co-principal investigator on a MacArthur Foundation Grant establishing a Drug development Center in the University of Ibadan.
A fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Professor Itiola has over 90 publications in reputable journals, books, and conference proceedings.
