According to the latest EduRank rankings, the University of Ibadan is ranked No. 1 in Nigeria and No. 36 in Africa in the field of Pharmacy. The ranking is derived from comprehensive analyses of research publications, citation impact, and institutional prominence, reflecting sustained excellence in pharmaceutical sciences.
This recognition underscores the Faculty's unwavering commitment to advancing pharmaceutical education through world-class teaching, cutting-edge research, impactful community engagement, and the training of highly competent pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists, and future leaders in healthcare.
For decades, the Faculty of Pharmacy has remained at the forefront of pharmaceutical research, contributing significantly to drug discovery, natural products research, clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical technology, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmaceutical microbiology, medicinal chemistry, and pharmaceutical policy.
