Our Faculty is structured into several specialised departments, each contributing uniquely to our mission of advancing pharmaceutical practice and sciences at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

• Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice: Focused on patient-centered care, clinical decision-making, and the optimization of drug therapy.
• Department of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry: Dedicated to drug design, synthesis, and the chemical foundations of therapeutic agents.
• Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology: Concerned with drug formulation, excipient development from local sources, delivery systems, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Department of Pharmacognosy and Herbal Medicine: Exploring natural products, medicinal plants, and traditional remedies in modern healthcare.
• Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology:  Investigating drug actions, safety profiles, and toxicological assessments.
• Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology: Advancing research in antimicrobial therapy, antimicrobial drug resistance, and biopharmaceuticals.

In addition, we are proud to host the Center for Drug Discovery, Development and Production (CDDDP) — a dynamic hub that bridges academic research and industry, fostering innovation in the development of new and effective therapeutics and a major Centre for postgraduate studies in Regulatory Affairs.

At the heart of our Faculty is a commitment to excellence in teaching, impactful research, and meaningful community engagement. With world-class academic staff, current facilities, and a collaborative spirit, we aim to shape the future of pharmaceutical sciences both locally and globally.

The Faculty has over 60 lecturers made up of two emeritus professors, other professors, readers, and lecturers. We have produced highly regarded graduates in the last forty (40) years who are contributing massively to the pharmacy profession all over the world as captains of industry, leaders in community pharmacy practice, hospital practice, academia, and other sectors of the economy.
